WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) announced Friday that he has been assigned the Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies, and the Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies under the House Appropriations Committee.

“I made it a priority to get on the Appropriations Committee to ensure our district has a powerful seat at the table when federal funding is allocated to our state,” said Congressman Gonzales. “I am looking forward to using my subcommittee assignments to advocate for our district’s veterans, protect Texas bases from the next round of Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) and deliver much needed investments to Texas’ infrastructure.”
