EAGLE PASS, TX– Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) on Monday led a Congressional Delegation of 7 members to the southern border in Texas’ 23rd Congressional District. The trip included meetings with local law enforcement, Border Patrol leadership, local elected officials, business owners, and a visit to the Camino Real Eagle Pass Port of Entry.
“It is past time for Congress to address the unprecedented border crisis happening right here in my district. That’s why I just hosted my 12th Congressional Delegation in Texas 23,” said Congressman Gonzales. “While meeting with local officials and Border Patrol agents, we were able to witness the challenges our boots on the ground are facing every day. I am thankful so many of my Republican colleagues in Congress came down to hear and see firsthand from border communities the resources they need to secure our southern border.”
Members in attendance included Congressman Drew Ferguson (GA-03), Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07), Congressman David Rouzer (NC-07), Congressman Carlos Gimenez (FL-26), Congressman Jake Ellzey (TX-06), Congresswoman Julia Letlow (LA-05) and Congresswoman Connie Conway (CA-22).
