SAN ANTONIO, TX - Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) on Tuesday named Luisa del Rosal as his new Chief of Staff starting January. She will serve as Congressman Gonzales' lead advisor and oversee operations in both the district and Washington, D.C.

"Luisa has strong experience in serving the people of Texas and a deep understanding of the conservative values that make our district and our state so unique," said Congressman Gonzales. "She is a leader in the Hispanic community and advocate for education and opportunity for all. I am confident she will be an exceptional addition to our team, and I look forward to working with her on behalf of Texas' 23rd District."

Born in Mexico, Luisa came to the United States and attended Southern Methodist University (SMU), where she earned dual bachelor’s degrees and a Master’s in Higher Education Policy and Leadership. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Tower Center for Political Studies and founding Executive Director for the Mission Foods Texas-Mexico Center at SMU. She is the youngest executive director at the University, as well as the only Hispanic to head up two Centers. She lives in Dallas with her husband Ricardo, where they are members of St. Rita Catholic Community.
