WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) today announced over $10 million in grant money from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for health center clusters in Texas’ 23rd District.

Grants will be awarded to the following health centers within the district:

  • $2,930,680 to Vidaysalud Health System, Inc. in Crystal City.
  • $3,734,048 to Community Health Development, Inc. in Uvalde.
  • $4,254,238 to South Texas Rural Health Services, Inc. in Cotulla.

“These grants are a crucial investment to our medically underserved and rural populations,” said Congressman Gonzales. “Our community health centers are more important than ever as we continue to combat the pandemic, and I applaud the Department of Health and Human Services for focusing such significant amounts of funding toward health centers in our district.”
