CARRIZO SPRINGS, TX – Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) today announced over $3.4 million in grant money from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for Head Start Projects in Texas’s 23rd District. The grant will be awarded to Kids Are First, Inc. in Carrizo Springs for $3,450,405. Congressman Gonzales previously served as the Community Representative for the City of San Antonio Head Start Policy Council from 2018 – 2019.

“Head Start Programs provide vital services to many of our local families through child care, nutritional programs, sponsored meals and many other initiatives,” said Congressman Gonzales. “I am thrilled to see HHS invest significant funds into Kids Are First and Head Start programs as a whole.”
