EL PASO, TX – Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) announced $15,928,507 in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to the University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC). The funds are for Emergency Protective Measures for UMC as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Hospitals across Texas were hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, causing a need for more beds, doctors, and supplies,” said Congressman Gonzales. “This federal funding is a positive step in returning our communities to normalcy and continuing to provide quality care to keep our district healthy.”
