EL PASO, TX – Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) on Tuesday hosted House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) and 5 of their House Republican colleagues at the southern border in El Paso, Texas. They received an operational field briefing from Border Patrol leadership and attended muster to thank agents for their service.

“While most Americans are home with their families celebrating Thanksgiving, Border Patrol agents, law enforcement, and border communities are still dealing with the consequences of the border crisis,” said Congressman Gonzales. “That’s why on day one, House Republicans are ready to make securing our southern border a priority and support our men and women in green. I appreciate Leader McCarthy and my Republican colleagues for visiting the border to see the effects of this unprecedented crisis firsthand.”
