“I’m grateful to Chief Ortiz for taking the time to have an open discussion on the realities of our border crisis with my fellow lawmakers,” said Congressman Gonzales. “Conversations like these – honest, bipartisan discussions – are a major step towards finding solutions to fixing our border, providing for our men and women in green, and creating a safer country.”

“I appreciated the opportunity to discuss the work our personnel are doing and share some of the things seen on my recent trip to Arizona and Texas,” said U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz. “I want to thank the members present for their commitment to border security and the chance to engage in productive dialogue in a bi-partisan environment.”
