MEDINA COUNTY, TX – Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) announced Wednesday that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development approved over 1.25 million dollars in funding for Medina County.

Funding was awarded to the following:

• $1,180,000 loan to the Castroville Municipal Airport for a multi-unit hangar building to accommodate the demand for aircraft storage.
• $72,200 grant to City of Devine to replace two of the Devine’s police vehicles with high mileage and repairs.

“I am excited to announce these wins for Castroville and Devine,” said Congressman Tony Gonzales. “As travel across Texas picks up, we must ensure airports of all sizes are well-equipped to accommodate travelers. Furthermore, the police vehicle repairs are crucial to enabling the officers to better provide law enforcement services to the residents of Devine.”
